Lead author identified and preparatory work launched for the second independent progress study on youth¡¯s positive contribution to peace processes and conflict resolution, including consultation planning, development of methodology and data and research tools, and development of a study road map.

Conduct five regional consultations to inform the second independent progress study. The first regional consultation on youth, peace and security should be held on 14 February 2025 on the margins of the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa.

Conduct focus groups both online and in person. Deploy a survey to youth from all categories through the help of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and universities.
