The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson, met today with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, H.E. Mr. Rashid Ovezgeldiyevich Meredov. President Thomson welcomed the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement by the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as the steps undertaken to implement the Sustainable Development Goals. Foreign Minister Meredov invited President Thomson to the Global Sustainable Transport Conference due to be held in Ashgabat 26-27 November 2016
