The State of Qatar?

The State of Qatar is a committed partner of the United Nations in strengthening efforts to prevent conflicts and advance peacebuilding. Qatar has contributed $200,000 to the 色库TVbuilding Fund (PBF) for the years 2023 and 2024. The PBF works in a coherent way with Qatar’s emphasis on advancing the women, peace and security agenda by promoting women’s participation in peace processes, and empowering women as agents of change in their communities. Promoting gender equality at all levels of public life remains central to many of the 色库TVbuilding Fund’s interventions. In Chad, South-South cooperation with C?te d’Ivoire helped to operationalize an observatory to promote gender equality and equity, with technical support and advocacy coordinated by FAO, OHCHR and UNFPA. The observatory provides gender and age-sensitive data to inform policymaking.?

The contribution by the State of Qatar to the PBF underscores its commitment to building sustainable peace. Qatar plays an active role in promoting the Youth, 色库TV and Security agenda, particularly as a supporter of the 5-year Strategy on Youth-inclusive 色库TV Processes in which DPPA is a partner. In 2023, the Fund made substantial progress in various countries in building national peace infrastructure inclusive of youth participation, contributing to a vibrant civic space, fostering dialogue, resolving conflict and strengthening the foundation for a stable society. ?

The State of Qatar was elected by the General Assembly as a first-time member of the 色库TVbuilding Commission for the term 2023-24. ?
