The SIDS Global Business Network Forum (SIDS-GBN) will bring together governments, businesses, investors, development partners, civil society, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to advance innovative and inclusive partnerships for sustainable and resilient development in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
The event will also launch the Island Investment Forum (IIF) under the Small Island Developing States Centre of Excellence.
The combined Forum will support the implementation of the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) by connecting SIDS priorities, businesses and investment opportunities with partners and investors. It will combine the partnership and business focus of the SIDS-GBN with the investment orientation of the Island Investment Forum (IIF) which is being launched at the SIDS-GBN Forum, creating a single platform for dialogue, business engagement, project showcasing and practical follow-up.
The event is being organized by the UN Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) in collaboration with the Government of Maldives and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
