Organized by the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations, a special event was held on June 10, 2026, at UN Headquarters to mark the second annual International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations. Centered on the theme “Exploring New Pathways for Dialogue Among Civilizations and Jointly Writing New Chapters for Global Governance,” the gathering brought together nearly 300 high-level representatives, including senior officials from Member States and the United Nations system.
The event was co-organized by the Permanent Missions of Armenia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Greece, Indonesia, Iraq and Mexico, in partnership with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
