8 Octoer 2025 - The World Food Programme (WFP) has appointed Ashley Park as its newest Goodwill Ambassador. Best known for her role in Emily in Paris, Park will use her platform to advocate for the more than 300 million people facing severe hunger worldwide, particularly women and children. Park stated that she was truly honored and humbled by this appointment and?eager to help elevate the voices of the communities facing hunger and help inspire others to take action alongside her. With humanitarian needs rising and funding gaps widening, Park will help mobilize support for WFP’s emergency food assistance and resilience programmes serving over 150 million people across 120 countries.
Park has already supported WFP through multiple fundraising appeals. For example, her advocacy for Sudan raised more than $500,000 and provided one million life-saving meals. Welcoming her appointment, WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain said Park’s voice will be?
