UN Digital Cooperation Day — FAQ
When is the event and where is the venue located?
Digital Cooperation Day will take place from 09:00–17:30 ET, with the reception commencing at 16:30 ET.
The event will take place at , outside the United Nations Headquarters. Please allow additional travel time, as traffic in the area may be affected due to security measures near the United Nations Headquarters.
How do I collect my access badge?
Badge collection will take place from 07:30–09:00 ET at the event venue (605 3rd Avenue). All participants must bring a valid, government-issued form of identification to collect their badge.
What is the event dress code?
The dress code for Digital Cooperation Day is business casual.
Who can attend the event, and how will I know if my expression of interest has been approved?
UNGA 81 Digital Cooperation Day 2026 is an invitation-only event. Those interested in attending Digital Cooperation Day are invited to fill out the following . Completion of this form does not constitute registration and does not guarantee attendance.
Should your expression of interest in attending be approved, you will receive an email from digitalcooperation@un.org confirming your registration and inviting you to complete an additional form to secure your spot. Please note that invitees must complete this additional form to participate in the event.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee to attend Digital Cooperation Day.
Please note that all travel, accommodation, health insurance, visa arrangements and other related costs are the responsibility of the participant.
I can no longer attend Digital Cooperation Day. How do I cancel my registration?
If you are unable to attend Digital Cooperation Day, please let us know as soon as possible at digitalcooperation@un.org so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list. If you would like to update your mode of attendance to “remote”, kindly indicate this in your email as well.
Registrations are personal and cannot be transferred; if someone else from your organization would like to attend in your place, please ask them to submit an expression of interest and note the change in your email to us.
Can I attend DCD remotely?
Live broadcast will be available for certain sessions. A live feed will be linked on our website for attendees who indicated remote participation in their expression of interest.
Does the UN offer travel support?
The United Nations Secretariat is unable to offer travel support to attendees at this time.
Should this pose a challenge to your ability to attend the event in person, selected sessions of this event will be available via live broadcast. All participants attending in person are encouraged to book their flights and accommodations ahead of schedule once their spot has been secured.
Does the UN sponsor visas to the United States?
The United Nations Secretariat cannot facilitate any request for assistance related to visa applications. Conference participants are responsible for securing their own entry visa for the United States if needed.
Please note that confirmation of your registration for Digital Cooperation Day DOES NOT guarantee entry into the United States. It is strongly recommended that participants apply for visas as early as possible.

Can I receive an invitation letter to facilitate the visa acquisition process?
Confirmed participants who require an invitation letter to facilitate the visa process are invited to contact us at digitalcooperation@un.org. Kindly provide the following information in your email:
- Full name (as per your passport)
- Job title
- Organization
- Country
- Photo of your passport
Your personal data will be used solely to prepare your invitation letter, will be handled in accordance with the UN Personal Data Protection and Privacy Principles, and will be deleted after the event.
Please note that the United Nations Secretariat cannot facilitate any additional assistance with individual visa applications.
Will my meals be covered?
Drinks and snacks will be available throughout the day, as well as during the reception. Options will be made available for those with dietary restrictions.
Will Wi-Fi be available?
Wi-Fi will be available to all participants attending the event.
Will coat and bag check be available?
Participants will have space to self-check their coats and bags if preferred.
Will interpretation be available?
Interpretation services will not be available for this event. All sessions, presentations and materials will be conducted exclusively in English, unless otherwise indicated.
How can I request accessibility accommodations?
The venue is wheelchair accessible. Should you have any specific accessibility requirements, kindly inform our team in advance at digitalcooperation@un.org. Our team will do its best to accommodate these requests.

Will the event be photographed or recorded?
Yes. By attending Digital Cooperation Day, participants consent to be included in event photography and video recordings, which may be used for documentation or communication purposes by the United Nations and its partners.
