About us
The Global Innovation and Data Analytics Service leads the modernization and technology enablement agenda of the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management. The Service ensures the continuous advancement of conference services and the integrated global management of digital capabilities across all duty stations.
In close coordination with the Office of Information and Communications Technology, the Service provides strategic oversight of the Department’s technology architecture. This partnership ensures that all systems and platforms remain secure, scalable, accessible, and fully aligned with United Nations standards and policies.
Our work
The Service drives the Department’s digital transformation by enabling modern, data-driven and user-centred conference services. Its work focuses on the design, development, integration and continuous improvement of solutions that support intergovernmental processes and meeting management, documentation and multilingual services.
Beyond technical solutions, the Service advances innovation policies and data analytics initiatives. By collaborating with business owners, it ensures conference-related data from all duty stations is managed as a strategic asset, in line with the Secretary-General’s Data Strategy and the Department’s internal data governance framework.
The Service maintains United Nations policies and standards by ensuring that strategic plans and their implementation comply with organizational requirements. This includes cybersecurity and cloud hosting requirements, accessibility and sustainability. It supports enterprise integration, interoperability between systems, and the responsible use of emerging technologies.
