The learning paper From Evidence to Action: Leveraging Evaluation for Effective Responses to Gender?Based Violence synthesizes insights from recent UN evaluations to show how evidence can drive stronger, more coordinated global action to end GBV. Drawing on findings from UN Women, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF, and the Spotlight Initiative, the paper highlights what works - from localized, women?led approaches and social norms transformation to integrated, multisectoral programming, and identifies persistent barriers such as fragmented funding, administrative hurdles, and shrinking civic space.
