Regional Commissions’ report on the progress in the Implementation of the New Urban Agenda (2019-2022)
The New Urban Agenda is a global roadmap for building cities sustainably to serve as engines of prosperity to drive inclusive growth and transformation.
The five UN Regional Commissions are advancing the implementation of the priority actions of the New Urban Agenda (NUA) in the regions, including through spearheading regional and sub-regional solutions and integrating the NUA actions in the annual Regional Forums* on Sustainable Development.
The Regional Commissions’ report on the progress in the Implementation of the New Urban Agenda provides an account of how the Commissions integrated sustainable urbanization in the Forums and activities undertaken to build bridges between the New Urban Agenda and the SDGs. This note highlights the 2022 editions of the Forums and key activities undertaken during 2019-2022.
