The President <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UN_PGA\/status\/1374728248169484292\">said this morning<\/a> that tuberculosis remains one of the world\u2019s deadliest infectious killers, killing nearly 4,000 people every day.<\/li>\n<li>He said, \u201cOn World TB Day, I call on the international community to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Today is also the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims.<\/li>\n<li>In marking the day, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UN_PGA\/status\/1374734114557923328\">the President said<\/a>, \u201cWe recognize the courage of human rights defenders everywhere and promote the importance of the right to truth and justice.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Asked if the President had a list of journalists who had been killed in the line of duty, the Spokesperson said that, while the topic was an important one, it was not for the President to compile such a list.
