Considero que los aportes han sido no solo sustantivos, sino tambi\u00e9n muy constructivos para avanzar en este proceso.<\/p>\n<p>Sin duda, las dos cuestiones que hemos analizado son centrales, y estoy convencida de que vamos por buen camino, pues estos di\u00e1logos son sumamente \u00fatiles para ir identificando las coincidencias y, a partir de all\u00ed, poder ir construyendo posibles consensos en el futuro.<\/p>\n<p>Con relaci\u00f3n a los criterios de selecci\u00f3n, hemos escuchado la necesidad de que sean diversos, que puedan ser aplicados de manera flexible.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=\u00bb1_2&#8243;][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb3.19.7&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Para determinar los criterios debemos aprovechar los instrumentos internacionales con los que ya contamos, como el Convenio 169 de la OIT; la Declaraci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Derechos de los Pueblos Ind\u00edgenas; y el Documento final de la Conferencia Mundial de Pueblos Ind\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n<p>Es clave que la participaci\u00f3n de las mujeres ind\u00edgenas, los j\u00f3venes ind\u00edgenas, los adultos mayores y las personas con discapacidad sea garantizada con este proceso. Necesitamos una mirada incluyente e intergeneracional.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=\u00bb1_2&#8243;][et_pb_code _builder_version=\u00bb3.19.7&#8243;]\n<!-- iframe plugin v.6.0 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"250\" src=\"\/\/www.un.org\/webcast\/1362235914001\/B1J3DDQJf_default\/index.html?videoId=6030024308001\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n<!-- [et_pb_line_break_holder] --><!-- [et_pb_line_break_holder] -->[\/et_pb_code][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=\u00bb4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb3.19.7&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto al mecanismo de selecci\u00f3n hemos escuchado coincidencia en que deber\u00eda estar conformado tanto por Estados Miembros como Pueblos Ind\u00edgenas y la importancia de que est\u00e9 guiado por los principios de transparencia, buena fe y no discriminaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Con relaci\u00f3n a los lugares de participaci\u00f3n, algunos representantes se refirieron, en particular, a los foros y \u00f3rganos de la Organizaci\u00f3n en los que se abordan temas que conciernen a los pueblos ind\u00edgenas, como los trabajos de la Segunda y Tercera Comisi\u00f3n de la Asamblea General, el ECOSOC y el Consejo de Derechos Humanos, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>Sobre las modalidades de participaci\u00f3n, varios expresaron que, para que sea significativa, los pueblos ind\u00edgenas deben poder realizar intervenciones y la posibilidad de presentar informaciones por escrito.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial _builder_version=\u00bb3.19.7&#8243; author=\u00bbMar\u00eda Fernanda Espinosa Garc\u00e9s\u00bb portrait_url=\u00bbhttps:\/\/www.un.org\/pga\/73\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2018\/09\/PGA-73084-e1537294481964.jpg\u00bb border_style=\u00bbsolid\u00bb job_title=\u00bbPRESIDENTA DEL 73\u00ba PERIODO DE SESIONES DE LA ASAMBLEA GENERAL\u00bb quote_icon_background_color=\u00bb#f5f5f5&#8243; background_position=\u00bbtop_left\u00bb background_repeat=\u00bbrepeat\u00bb background_size=\u00bbinitial\u00bb quote_icon_color=\u00bb#00aff8&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">S\u00e9 que los pueblos ind\u00edgenas pueden aportar de manera muy positiva a nuestros trabajos: ellos son portadores de experiencia y de conocimientos valiosos, son guardianes de lenguas milenarias. Su participaci\u00f3n activa nos permitir\u00e1 acelerar el cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible; del Acuerdo de Par\u00eds; desarrollar acciones mitigaci\u00f3n y adaptaci\u00f3n al cambio clim\u00e1tico; a los riesgos de desastres; proteger la biodiversidad del planeta; y construir sociedades m\u00e1s pac\u00edficas, m\u00e1s incluyentes y m\u00e1s justas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb3.19.7&#8243; border_style=\u00bbsolid\u00bb background_position=\u00bbtop_left\u00bb background_repeat=\u00bbrepeat\u00bb background_size=\u00bbinitial\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p>Excelencias,<\/p>\n<p>Como bien fue se\u00f1alado hoy, no debemos perder de vista que nuestro objetivo central es mejorar la participaci\u00f3n de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas. No se trata de cantidad, tambi\u00e9n de calidad. Se trata de que puedan expresar su voz en los temas que los afectan, sin retroceder en sus derechos.<\/p>\n<p>Existe una gran variedad de buenas pr\u00e1cticas sobre la participaci\u00f3n de los Pueblos Ind\u00edgenas que podemos considerar en este proceso, por ejemplo, en la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual; la plataforma para la participaci\u00f3n de las comunidades locales y pueblos ind\u00edgenas de la Convenci\u00f3n Marco sobre Cambio Clim\u00e1tico. As\u00ed tambi\u00e9n podemos tener a la vista la participaci\u00f3n de las Instituciones Nacionales de Derechos Humanos en las sesiones del Consejo de Derechos Humanos.<\/p>\n<p>Estimadas amigas y amigos,<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e9 que los pueblos ind\u00edgenas pueden aportar de manera muy positiva a nuestros trabajos: ellos son portadores de experiencia y de conocimientos valiosos, son guardianes de lenguas milenarias. Su participaci\u00f3n activa nos permitir\u00e1 acelerar el cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible; del Acuerdo de Par\u00eds; desarrollar acciones mitigaci\u00f3n y adaptaci\u00f3n al cambio clim\u00e1tico; a los riesgos de desastres; proteger la biodiversidad del planeta; y construir sociedades m\u00e1s pac\u00edficas, m\u00e1s incluyentes y m\u00e1s justas.<\/p>\n<p>Para concluir, quiero instarlos a que sigamos comprometidos con este proceso, y tambi\u00e9n a que continuemos abriendo espacios para dialogar, incluyendo a nivel regional. El espacio regional es extremadamente importante.
