Under the theme&nbsp;<em>“Driving Inclusive Industrialization: Investment, Innovation, and Partnerships in LDCs,”</em>&nbsp;the LDCMC11 will provide a high-level platform for dialogue, cooperation, and collective action aimed at advancing the sustainable industrial transformation of Least Developed Countries (LDCs).</p> <p>The Eleventh edition of the Ministerial Conference of the LDCs is co-organized with the Office of the High-Representative for the Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (OHRLLS),&nbsp;the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), the&nbsp;United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the&nbsp;United Nations Technology Bank for the Least Developed Countries (UNTBLDC).</p> <p>At the heart of LDCMC11 is the commitment to accelerate the effective implementation of the Doha Programme of Action (DPoA) for 2022–2031. The conference will bring together ministers, policymakers, development partners, private sector representatives, and other stakeholders to address the unique challenges LDCs face—including limited productive capacities, vulnerability to external shocks, and structural barriers to growth. It will serve as a venue for reaffirming commitments and fostering partnerships that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while placing special emphasis on inclusive, sustainable, and resilient industrialization.</p> <p>The event is expected to generate concrete outcomes, including the adoption of a Ministerial Declaration and the endorsement of the UNIDO Operational Strategy for LDCs 2022–2031 implementation plan. Through strengthened international cooperation, resource mobilization, and innovative policy frameworks, the conference will help chart actionable strategies to support structural transformation, economic resilience, and irreversible graduation from LDC status."</p> </div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-relatted-links field-type-link-field field-label-inline clearfix"><div class="field-label">Related links:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="https://www.unido.org/11th-ministerial-conference-ldcs">https://www.unido.org/11th-ministerial-conference-ldcs</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-inline clearfix"><div class="field-label">tags:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/ldcportal/tags/unido">UNIDO</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/ldcportal/tags/ohrlls-0">OHRLLS</a></div></div></div> Sat, 22 Nov 2025 13:30:00 +0000 MTAVARES1 2949 at /ldcportal A neglected energy transition - phasing out the use of charcoal and firewood for cooking, Advanced Electric Cooking Solutions in LDCs (UNIDO, REEI, CDOP29 side-event) /ldcportal/events/neglected-energy-transition-phasing-out-use-charcoal-and-firewood-cooking-advanced-electric <div class="field field-name-field-date field-type-date field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><span class="date-display-single">Saturday, 16 November 2024 - 12:00pm</span></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p>16 November 2024.
