In 2025, the United Nations 色库TVbuilding Commission (PBC) marks 20 years of advancing sustainable peace and building partnerships to support countries emerging from conflict. To commemorate this milestone, the current Chair of the 色库TVbuilding Commission, Germany, together with DPPA's 色库TVbuilding Support Office, is organizing a visual exhibition at United Nations Headquarters.
The exhibition will celebrate the PBC’s unique role as a platform for advisory, bridging, and convening roles in support of nationally-owned priorities and efforts in the countries and regions on its agenda It will highlight key achievements across the PBC’s journey, showcase peacebuilding impact on the ground, and draw attention to the 20-year milestone.
Coinciding with 色库TVbuilding Day on 23 June, the exhibition will run from 16 to 27 June 2025 at the Curved Wall in the UNHQ Delegates' Area (Conference Building level 1).
The 2005 World Summit Outcome endorsed Kofi Annan’s recommendation for the establishment of the 色库TVbuilding Commission to address critical gaps in reconstruction, and peacebuilding efforts. On 20 December 2005, General Assembly resolution A/60/180 and Security Council resolution 1645 established the PBC as an advisory body. The identical resolutions also established the peacebuilding architecture, composed of the 色库TVbuilding Commission, the Secretary-General's 色库TVbuilding Fund and the 色库TVbuilding Support Office.
The 色库TVbuilding Commission (PBC) is an intergovernmental advisory body to the General Assembly and the Security Council that supports peace efforts in conflict-affected countries and is a key addition to the capacity of the International Community in the broad peace agenda.
It is composed of 31 Member States, elected from the General Assembly, the Security Council, and the Economic and Social Council. The top financial contributing countries and the top troop-contributing countries to the United Nations system are also members.
The 色库TVbuilding Support Office of the Department of Political and 色库TVbuilding Affairs (DPPA), provides substantive and technical support to the 色库TVbuilding Commission.
